Calculating overall metrics

Oct 4, 2016 at 1:06 AM
When I attempt to import a Twitter search (eg #RealisticMedicine) Excel keeps hanging at the "calculating overall metrics" stage, just when the pivot chart filter pane pops up.
I can override this by pressing cancel, but I suspect I am missing something.
Any advice?
While I'm here, I'm struggling to add labels to the graph (currently just shows "G1", "G2" etc - I'd like it to give name of tweet).
Perhaps this is related to the above - Excel hangs when I ask it to "refresh graph". I've clicked "automate" (selecting first 4 options) and have also autofilled columns.
I have got this to work a couple of times (eg for #ScotPublicHealth) but I can't seem to be able to reproduce consistently.
I have NodeXL Pro version. Running on Windows 10, Excel 2007.
Yours hopefully,

Thank you for the interest in NodeXL!

Have a look at

RealisticMedicine via NodeXL

This map has a "recipe" attached (its the last link on the page: "Download the NodeXL Options Used to Create the Graph About NodeXL Options".

This file can be applied to your copy of NodeXL via the NodeXL>Options>Import menu.

Once imported, you may select NodeXL>Graph>Automate>Run too apply these settings to your data.

If you have issues we should schedule a time to connect remotely. I am located in GMT-8 so late afternoons GMT-0 can work.
