Combine Workbooks - Twitter Data

Apr 18, 2016 at 2:09 PM
I have several workbooks with Twitter imports (consisting the results from "Twitter Search Networks" to one specific keyword, in different time periods). How can I combine them into one workbook, including all worksheets (edges, vertices, overall metrics, etc.)?
Unfortunately, I noticed too late that I have the opportunity to uncheck "Clear the workbook before data is imported".
Thank you very much in advance!

Thank you for the interest in NodeXL!

Here is a suggested merge path for multiple files:
  • Write each file to graphml:

    NodeXL>Data>Export>To GraphML File...
  • In the NodeXL>Data>Import>Import Options dialog, switch the "Clear the NodeXL workbook before the data is imported" to UNCHECKED

ALSO, uncheck "Automate the graph after the data is imported" - you will run Automate manually, after the last of the file slices are imported.
  • Then, NodeXL>Data>Import>From GraphML file (select each file and repeat).
  • Then, NodeXL>Graph>Automate>Run.
NOTE: workbooks with more than about 15000 edges require at least 8GB of RAM and 16 or even 32 GB of RAM may be required for even larger networks.
