Hello all.I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove some groups containing for example under 10 members in nodexl. I'd really appreciate any help.

Hello!

Thank you for the interest in NodeXL!

Once Groups have been created in NodeXL >Analysis>Groups>[Select a group method], then the Groups worksheet contains the details of each group.

You can sort groups by any property in this worksheet.

Groups can be made Visible by changing the property of the Groups Visibility column.

To reveal this column, select NodeXL>Show/Hide>Workbook Columns>Visual Properties

There should now be a "visibility" column in the Groups worksheet.

You can manually enter a "0" for any group you would like to suppress. A more advanced method could be to use the =IF() function in Excel to conditionally evaluate the vertex column to determine if the group is shown.

Another approach is to do this graphically via the visualization pane. Use the mouse to click-and-drag a region around the vertices you do not want to display.

Then, right click a blank area of the graph and select Edit selected vertex properties. The "Visibility" filed in this dialog can be set to "Skip". When you refresh the graph, those vertices will no longer appear. If all the vertices in a group are suppressed, the group itself will also no longer appear.

I hope this helps! Feel free to post a follow up if you have any problems with this solution.

Regards,

Marc
