Analyzing You Tube Video Networks - Is it possible to detect users who uploaded videos?

Dear all,

Thanks for this great tool! I love it!

I have a question concerning the analysis of You-Tube video networks:

As it is possible to evaluate the count of comments, the favorites and so on, I am wondering if it is also feasible:

1. to list the users who uploaded a video

2. to evaluate links between the videos which have been uploaded by the same user?

I am looking forward to your response.

Thanks so much! Cheers,

We seem to have neglected to include the videos' authors in the YouTube Video Network.  Thank you for pointing this out.  The authors will be included in the next release of NodeXL, which will be version  If you would like to be notified of new releases, look for "Release notifications" on the Downloads page at

Evaluating the links between the videos that have been uploaded by a user would be a new network type.  We don't have any immediate plans to add network types, but I should point out that NodeXL has a "plug-in" architecture that allows any .NET programmer to add a new network to NodeXL's Import menu.  The details are at "For Programmers: About NodeXL Graph Data Providers," at
