Issue installing NodeXL with Office 2010

Hi,

I'm having a very hard time installing NodeXL on any system I have.  I've tried on Windows XP boxes, Windows 2003, 2008  and 2008 R2.  I get different errors each time, though on most I get error "1001: The Visual Studio Tools for Office installer was not found".

The one common theme among all of these systems is that I am using Office 2010.

I have been looking at this thread:  http://nodexl.codeplex.com/discussions/264158 with little luck.

I tried the first thing by going here:  http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=1132  but this patch is not applicable to my system and will not install.

Also realized my install error should be here and not in the 'Work Item' area so I apologize....

NodeXL works with Office 2010, so I don't think that's the problem here.  The fact that the setup program is failing on multiple computer makes me wonder if there are either network access or security restrictions placed on the computers in your network.

NodeXL needs a piece of software called the Visual Studio Tools for Office in order to work.  When you run the NodeXL setup program, that software gets automatically downloaded and installed for you.  But if you don't have Internet access, it won't be able to do that.  So my first question is this: Do you have full Internet access, or is your network locked down somehow by an IT department?
