Spigot and bitmap question

Hello, I want to improve the current nodexl spigot (plugin) program to display bitmaps to represent vertices in NodeXL instead of default shapes.

Is there any way to modify vertices metadata or properties in spigot program and without re-implementing the whole NodeXL? how can I use the API to do this?

Yes, you can display vertex images in the graph that gets imported from your graph data provider.  In the GraphML that your TryGetGraphData() method returns, you need to specify GraphML-attributes for the Image File and Shape columns in the Vertices worksheet.  Set the Image File values to the paths to the image files on disk (or to URLs to the image files on the Web), and set the Shape values to "Image".  NodeXL will fill the Image File and Shape columns with the values you specify, which will result in the images showing up in the graph when you click Read Workbook.

The way GraphML-attributes are used to specify NodeXL columns is explained in the "IGraphDataProvider.TryGetGraphData Method" topic in the NodeXLApi.chm help file, which is included in the NodeXL Class Libraries download.
