Way to not redraw upon change in symbology?

Excuse me if this has been asked before, but is there a way to make NodeXL not redraw the graph every time I want to change to change the symbology?  I would like to show the same points symbolized different ways across graphs, but it is hard to compare since the points move every time something is changed.  Additionally, I have move a large number of points (50-60) to make the graph readable, and I would like to not have to do this every time I make a change or open up a saved file.  Suggestions?

This would be an extremely useful feature for me, also.

If the layout selection is set to the "No Layout" option you may get the behavior you are looking for.
