SnapGraphMetrixCalculator

Need help! We are using NodeXl project in our research, and in some cases program crashes calling SnapGraphMetrixCalculator.exe which is some exe based on SNAP project (https://snap.stanford.edu/). The solution might be to recompile it on x64, but we don’t have source code of this project. Could you please help us to find source code or hint on which snap sample this program is based on. Thank you!

Hello,

SnapGraphMetrixCalculator.exe is a C++ application based on SNAP library. We took only the files that were needed for NodeXL and built an "entry point" which calls all these functions. We also had to do some small modifications to the SNAP code in order to use it through NodeXL. Unfortunately we can not publish this code, but I will be happy to recompile it on x64 (sent me your e-mail address) and send it to you.

Can you please tell me the kind of error you see?

Regards,
Arber

Actually program SnapGraphMetrixCalculator.exe crashed without any message. But when we start SNAP example application COMMUNITI with Clauset-Newman-Moore algorithm and with our test dataset it crashes after a while with such a diagnostic: Program failed to allocate more memory. Solution: Get a bigger machine and a 64-bit compile

Could you please also to build x64 for SnapGraphMetricCalculatorForCliquesOnly.exe

Thank you!

Thanks a lot, Andrey

Hello!

Thanks for the interest in improvements to NodeXL.

An update to the version of SNAP used in NodeXL is on the pending work items list. At our current pace, this may appear in the Fall of 2015.

Marc
