Twitter Streaming API

Hi all,

Is it possible to get around the Twitter rest API limit by streaming the data into node XL instead?

With the rest API hitting it's limit every 15 mins, it takes ages to pull a whole network of people (e.g. 100,000s) but there are tools out there such as Tweet deck which doesn't have this problem when pulling data from Twitter.

What I'd like to know is is it possible to avoid the Twitter Rest API limit by streaming data into Twitter and if so how?

Thanks in advance,

NodeXL complies with all Terms of Service and does not have a mechanism to avoid or get around any rate limits.

Our goal is to make full use of what social media network sites provide, and no more.

Other tools may have special relationships with Twitter to enable the feature you describe. I am happy to hear more about ways for NodeXL to expand its data access while remaining in full compliance with all API terms of access.
