Filtering by Label

Is there a way I can filter my (large) graph by Edge Label? I've entered these labels myself to define the context of the connection between vertex 1 and vertex 2. I'd like to be able to only see connections of one type (ie: vertex 1 (John Smith) is connected to vertex 2 (Sadie Smith) by label: family. I don't want to see Labels friend, co-worker, etc. at this point.

Yes, you can do that by making use of Excel's built-in filtering controls. Those are explained here:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/filter-data-in-an-excel-table-HA102840028.aspx

When you filter out rows using the filtering controls, NodeXL will ignore the filtered-out rows when you show the graph. In your case, you would use the filter control at the top of the Labels column to uncheck "friend" and "coworker". That will make friend and coworker rows (temporarily) disappear from the Edges worksheet, and your friends and coworkers won't get shown in the graph.
