creating sankey diagrams in nodeXL

Hi:

I am posting this again because I am surprised I did not hear anything.
I am wondering if anyone knows if its possible to do sankey diagrams in NodeXL. I want the visualization something similar to the first picture at
http://www.designworklife.com/2009/04/15/density-design/
or a similar one at http://flowingdata.com/2010/06/29/imported-world-cup-players/
and here is another basic sankey diagram
http://bost.ocks.org/mike/sankey/

I would think that this is can be done by nodexl.

thanks

No, it is not possible to create a Sankey diagram in NodeXL. You would need a different tool for that:

Thanks Tony. Not to bug you,But I like NodexXL so much. after all the sankey is nothing but nodes connected to each other with edge weights - conceptually. I understand the hard part is laying it out so it looks nice. But Thanks again.

That wasn't bugging, it was a constructive suggestion. I don't know if or when we will get to it, but I've added your suggestion to our feature request list.

Thanks,
Tony
