Problem attempting to authorize NodeXL to use Twitter account - Proxy Authentication Required

Hi & thanks for this amazing project, I'm very keen to use it more.

I'm behind a corporate proxy server and trying to run my first "Import from Twitter Search Network". The only option enabled under "Your Twitter account" is the 2nd one - "I have a Twitter account ... not yet authorized NodeXL..."

When I hit OK, the error message I get is:

A problem occurred while attempting to authorize NodeXL to use your Twitter account. Details:
The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required.

Is there any workaround for this?

Thanks

Mike:

I'm trying to figure out if the problem you're seeing is specific to Twitter or is more general. Can you please try the following:
  1. Go to NodeXL, Data, Import, From YouTube Video Network.
  2. In the Import from YouTube Video Network dialog box that pops up, keep all the default settings and click OK.
Do you get a "407" error here, too?

Hi Tony,

Yes I get a similar error from the YouTube:

The network couldn’t be obtained. Details:

[WebException]: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required

I’m not sure if this is relevant, but in my Internet Explorer LAN Settings, they use an automatic configuration script.

Thanks

Mike
